To Honor and Remember Flag

We WALK and donate because our loved ones have inspired us!

Our walk community is a place for everyone who feels inspired to share stories about why they are involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer's. We walk, donate and volunteer for so many reasons. We honor loved ones. We support the vision of living in a world without Alzheimer's. We carry on legacies. We invite you to learn about our stories and share yours with us.

Add Your Flower. Share Your Story.

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year, the Sonoma-Marin Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on October 9th at Sonoma State University, with options to participate online or Walk from Home.

We walk to support those with the disease, family members, and caregivers. These stories are an inspiring reminder of the resiliency within each of us and the huge capacity we have for empathy, love, and caring.

We hope that you will send you stories to include on the site. What you write can be as short or as long as you like, or you can send something to add to a story that is already here. Please send photos to accompany your story if you can, or just send us a photo for the mission gallery or a video for our video gallery. We want to be inspired by YOU!

Support

I see the Walk as a powerful experience in which people have come together. It is a symbol of how our community has awareness of the impact of this disease and is willing to lend a hand to those affected and to research to find that first survivor. - Chris Anderson

Community

When we walk, we come together to support all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Funds raised help to provide care and support to families while also advancing research toward a cure.
